Launching in 230000 milliseconds: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/fontawesome/build-awesome-pro?ref=43ttgb

We’re rethinking what a website builder should feel like—less rigid templates, more freedom to create something truly yours.

Build Awesome is our take: a flexible builder that adapts to your workflow (not the other way around).

Relaunching on Kickstarter tomorrow. 🚀

We're relaunching Build Awesome—a website builder made for the way you actually work. Fast, flexible, and powered by the icons, tools, and workflows you already love.

We added similar instructions to the npm and Download tabs, too.

Also, User Blender has big “this started as a fun side project and accidentally became super useful” energy, which is honestly one of my favorite categories of feature.

Let’s say you’ve got all the ingredients to build an awesome site, the problem is … the “kitchen” is on fire.

Welp, behind the scenes, we're quietly baking up something new. Tools to build faster, sturdier websites that don’t go stale six months later.

Something awesome is coming out of the oven soon!

Graphite is a hit for anyone building “notes / learning / planning” UIs. ✏️📓
Hand-drawn icons change the tone of an interface instantly without rewriting a single word. What kind of site will you be adding these to?

✏️ Our new pro+ icon pack, graphite, has arrived, and Vic Bell is here to talk all about it. Tune into the newest episode of Podcast Awesome to get the scoop!

One tiny quality-of-life thing we love in this release: the Free moon set includes aliases for light/dark contexts. 🌙
Now there's no need to do mental gymnastics when your UI theme flips.

The newest release of Font Awesome is here!
→ fresh Pro icons
→ new brand icons
→ some sweet additions to FA Free.

And that's not all. We're also adding a new Pro+ pack. Introducing Graphite, designed by Vic Bell!

🗞️ Extra! Extra! Web Awesome v3.2 has hit the scene with:

🗃️ *New* <wa-file-input> (Pro)
#️⃣ *New* <wa-number-input> (Free)
📈 *New* <wa-sparkline> (Pro)
🤖 AI boosts with llms.txt and Agent Skills

🐛 A hefty list of bug fixes and improvements

We’ve seen what happens when open source isn’t tied to the bottom line.
Good intentions. Big promises. Sudden endings.
A sustainable model changes everything.
The best open source projects are built to stick around.

Curious how to use Node.js’s new Type Stripping feature for TypeScript compatibility with Eleventy? We have you covered: https://www.11ty.dev/docs/languages/typescript/#configuration

CommonJS? ESM? TypeScript? Wait, even CommonJS TypeScript?? Eleventy can run them all.

https://www.11ty.dev/docs/cjs-esm/

Which should you choose? It depends! The social-media sized answer is: ESM 😅

Thankful to @jacklorusso for their 11ty docs contribution detailing how to use @deno_land’s new `dx` command with Eleventy: https://www.11ty.dev/docs/javascript-runtime/#deno

Coming to a canary near you: adding support for Node’s Module Compile Cache feature (existing Node 20+ minimum is unchanged but this is featured tested and available in Node 22.8+ only).

Securely publishing our packages to npm

https://www.11ty.dev/blog/npm-security/

Maintenance update: to simplify our docs footprint (and in reaction to deployment retention policies), we will maintain historical versioned branches of our docs for *major* versions only:

https://v2.11ty.dev/
https://v1.11ty.dev/
https://v0.11ty.dev/

Previously hosted minor version subdomains (e.g. https://v0-12-0.11ty.dev) will redirect to their respective major version.

Appreciate y’all!
